The worst Internet marketing strategy ever!
Let me tell you a little story about a newbie named Billy…
Little Billy decides he wants to start to make some money on the Internet. So he searches around on Internet marketing forums. He starts reading and learning about all the different techniques there are.
Little Billy still can’t decide what he wants to do on the Internet. He heard somebody say “try affiliate marketing firstâ€â€¦ so he does. He joins up at click bank and searches around for something to promote still not really sure of what’s going on. Billy is not even sure how he will promote this product as an affiliate.
But that doesn’t stop little Billy because he’s on a mission.
Billy finds a great product and it happens to be a typical how to make money on the Internet eBook. Billy Says “This is great! Surely there are millions of people trying to make money on the Internetâ€.
So Billy toddles off with his new affiliate link in hand and then starts to think how can I promote this darn thing.
Billy says “I know I’ll go to places where there is lots of people trying to make money on the Internet†So Billy runs off and joins lots and lots of different Internet marketing forums. Billy is working real hard searching for Internet marketing forums, filling out the forms to join them, confirming all his e-mails, then logging back into all these forums.
Okay now Billy is registered at all the best Internet marketing forums out there. Now Billy’s rubbing his hands thinking he is almost there. Billy Says to himself “Now all I have to do is let everyone know about this program and I’m going to be richâ€
So Billy decides to post as many new threads about this great new e-book he’s just discovered. He works hard posting in every possible forum he can find…in every possible thread. Because the more people that Billy gets his ad in front of the richer he will be.
Billy sits back in his chair and wipes the sweat from his forehead. Now all I have to do is wait for the money to role in. Billy goes to bed that night thinking he’s done such a great job. He is already thinking of how he will spend the money. Maybe he’ll get a new television or even a new computer.
Billy can hardly get to sleep, thinking of the possibilities of all this new money he will have. But he does manage to get some sleep.
Billy wakes up in the morning bounding out of bed ready to check how much money he made overnight. He fires up the computer, Come On…Come On…Come On!!! For Billy It seemed like forever waiting for that damn computer to start.
He quickly logs into his click bank account and sadly there is nothing. Not one sale. His heart sinks and starts to wonder why he didn’t make any money. Trying to fathom what just happened!
While Staring blankly at his computer screen he has an excellent idea…It hits him like a lightning bolt!
“I know what it was. It was the e-book was trying to promote. Maybe the sales page wasn’t good enough. Yes that’s it!!!â€
So Billy finds another product on click bank. And thinks to himself “Ha ha this one will sell better.â€
So Billy repeats the process that he did with the last product it promoted.
You know how the story ends.

Uhh…Where’s the rest of the story? Yeah I know what you were getting at, but if I was a noob I really would have liked to know the full lesson you were trying to tell me.
I’m sure you already had this in mind as you’re one of the true smart marketers out there…
In my next emails from you I’ll want to see that you’re offering the end of the story and then another one on how billy called you for coaching and what you told him to do instead.

that was a nice story Micheal…if anything, it wasn’t long enough for me but it was still thought provoking at first.
Why?
Mainly because this is almost exactly how I started out on this internet marketing gig, took me almost 3 months to sith through all the different ways to market and make money online until I finally came across a skill that I actually love doing…writing copy.
But I learned so much about all the variations of internet marketing so I am grateful for that.
Anyways, looking forward to the conclusion. Don’t keep me waiting to long, or I won’t have time to finish reading it.
