Should you Join a Blogging Site or Not?

Should you Join a Blogging Site or Not?

Joining an established blogging site like live journal or blogger has plenty of advantages, especially for the blog novice.

Sites that host a lot of different blogs often have very useful tutorials about building and updating your blog, and you are likely to encounter a very user-friendly software interface at an established blogging site.

In addition, these sites provide a kind of instant community of fellow bloggers who can provide advice, insight, and feedback.

These established sites often keep directories of their members, which can be great news for your traffic logs because it means that other bloggers on the site will find out about your pages.

However, there are also some downsides to linking up with a large blogging site.

By posting within the established templates of a site like blogger, you run the risk of having your blog look and feel like everybody else’s.

The blogging movement is very much about the creation of distinctive sites and the development of individual voices, so it makes plenty of sense that many bloggers would shy away from the cookie-cutter look and feel that these blogging sites often promote.

Many bloggers feel that the content of a blog is what makes it distinctive, not the look of the blog, but many members of the blogging community feel that the visual impact of a blog should match the originality of the writing.

What are you going to do in the new year?

Posted By

What are you going to do in the new year??

This goes out to anyone that just cant get started.

First, Start with a Subject that you know more about than anybody else. It does not have to be Internet Marketing related.

It could be a secret that you used to hit a home run every time in baseball.

It could be how you knock someone out with one punch.

It could be how you survived financial ruin.

It could be a cool way that you cook that gets everyone at your parties raving about the food.

Infact…there is a book inside you right now, ready to come out!

But before you write it you need to see if there is a market for what you will write about. Heres what I do to see if there is a hungry market for what I write for.

Is there busy forums dedicated to the exact topic…its always a better indication if there is a complete forum on the topic and its not just a sub toppic.

Are there printed magazines on the topic?

Are there meeting places on the topic, like private clubs, seminars, exibitions, trade shows, TV Shows?

Also findout how many times your niche is searched for in wordtracker or something similar. http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

Also go to google trends and see if its a growing niche or is it dying, is it a fad or is it going steady. http://www.google.com/trends

If everything looks good…your in luck! This is  probably a good place to start.

Now that you know that you have found a passionate crowd of people that are interested in the same topic your about to write about. It’s time to write your book.

A large part of your success will depend on your confidence to get off your butt and do something.

Dont be intimidated by the idea of writing, you dont need a degree or to be a super genious.

Throughout your day you will need to carry a note book with you and write down any tips or ideas that come to mind! I always have one in my top pocket.

You never know when an awesome idea will come to mind…and you’ve got no way to record it! I have lost many great ideas by not having a place to jot them all down. Because I always forget that idea when it comes time to reflect on it!

It will become your swipe file to add some great ideas for when you are writing.

You Dont have to be perfect. Just get it down on paper…you can polish it later and put it in the right order later!

Just spew that info out onto paper and get it out of your brain while you can still remember it!

You will gain massive confidence once you complete your project. After all! You finally finished something from start to finish.

Heres a Tip: Get a brand new ruled book and for each idea and tip that you have, write it down 1 per page. Then put it down…then add more tips to the pages as you go over the next couple of days. Once you have all the tips that you can think of written down you can start to construct the book by fleshing out each idea on the page.

Some tips will fill a couple of pages and some tips will only have 1 paragraph. But when you put all those pages together…you have a book!

I cant stress how important this step is to writing your book. You’ll find that not many people..if any, can just sit down and write a book from cover to  cover in one go!

So, if your constantly jumping from one idea to the next and never getting anywhere.

Write your own product! Then you have something to focus your time and effort on. Now you have something to be proud of!

I hope this helps a few people to get  started in the new year.

Converting Every Web Page into a Body Snatcher ;)

Posted By

Be Afraid….Very Afraid…

If you own one-page sales letter business models or content-based websites, you should turn every webpage possible into a body snatching device for you. The good news is that not only is this method extra effective, it is just as extra effortless when it comes to applying the concept.

Since visitors can come and leave without remembering your website in the future (which is very likely to happen), you can still follow up with your visitors easily by seeking their permission to opt into your mailing list through your web pages – on autopilot!

You can create a pop up window to appear after your visitor attempts to close the window or leaves your website, asking for your visitor’s name and email address so that you can follow up with him or her in the near future via subscribing to your mailing list for free.

This way, you can convert a big portion of your visitors into subscribers, giving you a chance to follow up with them on other offers you may have in the future.

Alternatively, you can insert an opt-in form within the spaces of your web pages. This method is effective, especially if you are afraid of Internet users who have pop up killers installed in their web browsers, set to block any pop up windows.

In conclusion, turning every webpage you own into subscriber snatching devices with little effort can be responsible for huge subscriber-pulling results.
