I want to talk to you about something that could possibly be the biggest internet marketing shift that has happened in years.
Infact…remember the days when banner advertising used to be one of the best ways to advertise your website. And now its crap!
Its called banner blindness…people dont even look at banners. They skim over your banners like they are not even there.
Well, in my opinion there is a new type of blindness…
I’ll call it “Testimonial Blindness”…its when people start to scan over your testimonials like they dont exist.
Do you really think that massive list of perfectly crafted glowing testimonials is going to help your cause? No Way…especially if they are the type that are full of hype.
So here is the solution…
If you are going to use testimonials…use them sparringly on the page unless it is a webpage just for testimonials. If you have a full page like this…make sure you have an order link every couple of testimonials.
Just concentrate on using the testimonials around the order button/signup page.
When you start gathering enough testimonials…an even better way to use them is to strategically place a testimonial that relates exactly to what was just said on the sales page. Instead of having a random testimonial…use targeted ones.
EG: Place a testimonial that mentions how easy the sales process was or how fast delivery was on the order page.
Another Massive tip…Make sure you have 100% permission in writing to use that persons testimonial.
