There are 3 types of people in the world which one are you?

G’day,

Michael Silvester here again…

I’m sure that you’ve heard this before, but in case you haven’t, let me give you a quick overview.

The words audio, visual, and kinesthetic are words used to describe the learning styles of people. Although people are sometimes able to adapt to learning in a different manner than they are used to, most have a preference of just one learning modality. Let’s discuss each one in more detail and identify key points which can help you to market your products to them.

People of the audio modality learn best through hearing, so it is important to focus on appealing to the auditory senses when marketing to this crowd. How can you do this?

Easily. ..

For your article marketing efforts, you can try using audio article directories rather than the traditional ones. These are specialized article directories where articles are freely published but as audio files. So instead of people reading through everything, they now get to just sit back and listen.

The people who visit these sites are likely to be audio learners as this directly caters to their learning style. In addition to submitting audio articles, you need to consider your squeeze and sales pages, too.

Of course you can have the normal graphics and text, but somewhere, you better include an audio player so the visitor can listen to all the details. Chances are, these types of people won’t spend the time to read what you’ve written, and they’ll just click away if there’s no other option available. So, be prepared. Oh yea, it’s also a good idea to have your product deliverable in multiple formats.

For example if it’s an eBook, offer an mp3 option as an alternative. Audio learners will most likely look for this anyway, so have it ready for them, and you won’t have to worry about any missed sales.

Next, there’s the visual modality. And yep, you guessed it. These people learn by what they see. Considering the long explanation just given about audio learners, I’m sure you can figure where this is headed.

For your articles, translate them into video and upload them to various sites like YouTube, Google Video, and MetaCafe. On your squeeze pages and sales pages, create a video of yourself explaining your product and tell about its benefits and whatever else you feel is important. And again, offer a video or electronic print option for your product.

Lastly, there’s the kinesthetic learner, and these people learn by doing. The key to marketing successfully to this crowd is interactivity. It’s as plain and simple as that. In order to make that sale or even get them interested, you’re going to have to get this type of person involved in what you are doing.

And of course, your product should focus on them taking action, so things like mind maps or activity sheets would be helpful in this case.

In most cases, at least nowadays, most marketers appeal to all three learning modalities in some sense. But its usually by accident that they “Get It”.

And for the best results, it’s important that you try as best you can to do so. You can’t judge the learning style of your visitors unless you have some complicated system in place to test them and relay instant feedback.

So, if you can manage it, just devise your marketing strategies in a way that they will target all three learning styles rather than just one or the other.

And once again…it is so important to put this stuff into action.

Take Care,

Michael Silvester
